We are seeking a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems (New). As a key member of our support team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional support to our clients by providing timely and effective solutions to complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the maintenance, testing, and release of Power BI and Salesforce components to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  2. Collaborate with development teams to support Power BI and Salesforce development, including minor updates and configuration changes.
  3. Provide expert support for reports and dashboards, including minor updates and configuration changes, to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  4. Troubleshoot software issues with customers, utilizing strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex problems.
  5. Document and record issues in our helpdesk system to ensure accurate tracking and resolution.
  6. Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and customers are satisfied with the level of support provided.
  7. Adhere to data governance, security, and compliance policies to protect sensitive information and maintain a secure environment.

Requirements:

  1. Familiarity with Power BI tools, including Power BI Desktop and DAX Studio.
  2. Knowledge of Salesforce development lifecycle and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Salesforce Lightning Design System.
  3. General web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  4. Familiarity with DAX and SQL.
  5. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  6. Experience working directly with client stakeholders and ability to build strong relationships.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience working on cloud platforms and with other languages/development tools (XML, Flex,.NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services).
  2. Related certifications, such as Microsoft Data Analyst Associate.
  3. Activity on Microsoft Power BI Forums and active participation in the Salesforce community.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
