About the Role

Mears Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dedicated team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the infrastructure, including VMWare, SANs, virtual servers, RDS, Active Directory, and Exchange.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and continually improve the reliability and usability of the services provided to the users relating to the physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Focus heavily on Active Directory, and we are particularly interested in candidates with current experience working with Active Directory and group policy management.
  • Provide high-quality IT support to customers, qualify, investigate, and resolve IT issues and requests in line with agreed Service Levels.
  • Be an escalation point for anything related to Server/SAN infrastructure.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends and propose recommendations for their implementation to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Participate in Out-Of-Hours on-call rota.
Requirements
  • A good understanding of how to implement and maintain all aspects of VMWare and Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • A full driving license valid in the UK and access to a vehicle is required as there will be an occasional need to travel to our other offices.
