Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Limbs & Things. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Your primary focus will be on conducting regular maintenance checks, performing equipment upgrades and modifications, and identifying and resolving faults. You will also be responsible for safely installing and commissioning new equipment, as well as providing training to operators as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all production equipment and facilities are in good working order and meet health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform equipment upgrades and modifications as required.
- Identify and resolve equipment faults in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safely install and commission new equipment, and provide training to operators as needed.
- Work with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with external maintenance contractors as needed.
- Relevant qualifications in a maintenance-related field (e.g. HNC/HND in a relevant subject).
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical machine maintenance.
- 5+ years' experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of PPM systems and record-keeping.
- Commitment to improving company standards through preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, panel and building wiring systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
