Real Estate Solicitor - Of Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Solicitor - Of Counsel to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Real Estate team, you will play a critical role in overseeing complex transactions and driving client relationships.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership position within our Real Estate team, working closely with major corporations, investors, developers, and financial institutions. You will provide strategic advice on acquisitions, disposals, development projects, leasing, and investment, and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value contracts, leases, and development agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on major real estate transactions and projects
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Offer strategic legal advice on acquisitions, disposals, investments, and developments
  • Manage junior solicitors and mentor them through complex matters
  • Collaborate with partners and other senior team members to shape the direction of the real estate practice
Requirements
  • 9+ years experience practicing as a real estate solicitor
  • Strong understanding of Scottish real estate law, with a commercial mindset
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead on large transactions and provide strategic, client-focused advice
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior solicitors
  • Highly driven, with the ability to operate at pace and manage competing priorities
