About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Mansfield. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded software solutions using C and other relevant programming languages.
  • Work on a range of new projects, contributing to the full development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers from software and hardware backgrounds.
  • Develop complex software solutions for products used across the UK and Europe.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded C, bare metal development, and microcontrollers (STM32, ARM, Microchip PIC).
  • Experience with communication protocols (RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, CAN).
  • Full software life cycle experience.
Desirable Skills
  • C++ programming.
  • Linux or embedded Linux development.
  • Unit testing or TDD.
