About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive to lead our client, Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust (SCCT), in achieving its mission to provide Almshouses and make grants to support individuals and organisations within the boundaries of Sutton Coldfield.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to drive the mission, development, and impact of SCCT
  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees, employees, and local community organisations to lead SCCT in fulfilling its objectives
  • Oversee the operation of SCCT's Almshouses and significant grant-making activities
  • Support management of SCCT's investments, including a collection of properties and an investment portfolio
  • Lead on the development and implementation of the EDI strategy
  • Manage SCCT's budget and five-year forecast, and report on financial performance to the Board and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Experience working at a senior level in a Charity, Social Housing, or non-profit organisation
  • Knowledge of high-level project delivery
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and fiscal responsibility

About Our Client

SCCT is a truly community-focused charity with a long history of improving the lives of generations of people in Sutton Coldfield. The Board is seeking a part-time Chief Executive, working three days a week with an FTE salary of £85,000-£90,000 per annum.

The role will be varied, with a focus on overseeing the operation of SCCT's Almshouses, managing grant funding, and supporting the development of the charity's strategic plan. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the community.
