About the Role:

The successful candidate will be part of the project team on a new build industrial and commercial building with offices and temperature-controlled cold storage facilities.

As the lead site engineer for the main contractor, you will be responsible for overseeing the bulk earthworks, site setup, and external works/structural contractors through to drainage and the steel frame building itself, including services and associated internal and external packages.

The project has progressed well through pre-construction and now requires an engineer for setting out and QA of various civils and structural external packages, including piling, groundworks, structural steel frame, and ongoing external and facade works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out and QA of civils and structural external packages
  • Overseeing bulk earthworks, site setup, and external works/structural contractors
  • Managing subcontractor relationships and setting out for subcontract gangs
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date CSCS certification
  • Experience with robotic EDM and CAD on large steel frame buildings with Tier 1 main contractors
  • Previous experience on industrial or steel-framed projects exceeding £5 million in value
  • Degree-qualified civil engineer from a main contractor background with a minimum of 5 years of site experience
