The Senior Financial Strategist will assist the Chief Financial Officer in the daily operations of the finance division while collaborating with external accounting partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute significantly to the preparation of month-end financial statements, emphasizing the creation of monthly management accounts that encompass all business segments, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure the generation of effective monthly reports, leading to the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality financial reporting across all business areas.
  • Provide insights and analysis on monthly financial reporting, including conducting reviews with various department heads.
  • Assist in the development of weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for the overall business, including the preparation of 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts.
  • Work alongside the CFO to play a pivotal role in assembling budgets and forecasts for the organization, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged in the process and that accountability for the figures is established at the appropriate levels.
  • Support the management of all financial systems.
  • Assist in constructing business cases for any capital expenditure proposals within the organization.
  • Participate, as necessary, in the preparation of statutory accounts in collaboration with external accountants.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA).
  • Comprehensive financial technical knowledge across all finance domains.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Capable of quickly adapting and performing at a high pace.
