Our Northern regional Nature teams are engaged in significant projects, including renewable energy facilities, infrastructure upgrades, and various environmental assessments.

In this role, you will have the chance to engage in diverse activities, such as: implementing advanced techniques for species and habitat assessments, data collection and analysis; contributing to business development; utilizing Advanced Bat Licence Survey Techniques; and mentoring team members in Biodiversity Net Gain practices. Our nurturing environment supports both internal and external training opportunities, fostering professional growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of health, safety, and well-being within the team;
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to fulfill ecological requirements in multidisciplinary projects;
  • Conduct desk studies and field surveys for habitats, flora, and protected species;
  • Assist in managing the technical and financial aspects of ecological projects to adhere to budgets and timelines;
  • Analyze, interpret, and present ecological data, including report preparation and mitigation strategy design;
  • Serve as an Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects;

Are You Ready to Make an Impact?

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A proven history of delivering ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland;
  • A strong understanding of wildlife conservation, particularly related to significant habitat types or species;
  • Protected species licenses, preferably a Natural England Level 2 license or higher;
  • Confidence in conducting bat roost assessments, leading surveys, and preparing technical documentation;
  • Experience with thermal imaging and night vision equipment;
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution and evidence of progress towards Chartership.
