Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Fashion Design Assistant to join our Design team at our Head Office in High Wycombe. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with our Buyer and Senior Design team to produce designs that meet the key trends of the season and align with our signature relaxed glamour ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop new design ideas by visiting inspirational shops, markets, and fabric fairs
- Collaborate with our in-house print and textile experts to source relevant information for supplier sourcing packs
- Visit key suppliers to action new samples and continually shop for new shapes, trims, and ideas
- Spec designs to a high standard and work with your Buyer to ensure accurate sample interpretation
- Present designs to the wider Design and Buying teams each season, showcasing your vision and passion for the product
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fashion Design Assistant in a similar fashion business
- Strong technical design expertise, including skills in graphics
- Authentic creative passion and eye, with an affinity for our relaxed glamour ethos
- Fantastic knowledge of cut and sew jersey, soft fabrications, and trims, with innovative ideas for using trims and mixing fabrications
- Ability to demonstrate hand-drawn designs, CAD, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator skills
