About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Energizer Holdings, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-known brand on a global level and contribute to our mission of creating products that make lives easier and more enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to all relevant parties, ensuring the effective control and improvement of quality issues throughout the organization.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing on incoming materials and processed materials made on site, and provide feedback to responsible parties.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve quality throughout the organization, making a relevant contribution to the quality assurance process.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with international standards, including ISO9001, ISO13485, 45001, and 14001.
  • Ensure the calibration process is monitored and under control, and use test equipment such as tensile testers, hardness testers, and UV-Vis spectroscopy equipment.
  • Analysis of test data to identify trends and areas for process improvement that will reduce product variability and improve scrap rates.
  • Maintain a well-stocked inventory of laboratory consumables and maintain lab and equipment cleanliness on a daily basis.
  • Work unsupervised in a laboratory environment and as part of a team during investigatory and development projects.
  • Review process control and capability within chemical processing and manufacturing areas, and work alongside quality engineers to support business requirements.
  • Work alongside the HSE officer to maintain the COSHH database, control the movement of hazardous materials and wastes on site, and participate in risk assessments throughout the plant.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions as required throughout the plant, and promote a safe working environment throughout the plant.

Requirements

  • Existing laboratory experience.
  • Clear, precise, and articulate communication skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office essential) and good clear presentation skills (SAP experience an advantage but not essential).
  • A good team player but very comfortable to work alone.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Ability to record, organize, and manage all data generated in a structured and easily referenced format for traceability purposes.
  • Effective and confident interpersonal and communication skills.
