About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Business Leader to join our team at First Point Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the company's strategic objectives and revenue goals, while delivering fibre connectivity to urban areas across the country.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a start-up organization, with a focus on fibre networking and telecommunications. You will have the autonomy to drive, lead, and oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including financial planning, management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's 5-year business plan, focusing on strategic and financial objectives.
  • Lead the mobilization of the company, defining the organizational design, recruiting key resources, and developing the annual business plan.
  • Formulate and execute the company's strategic business plan, leading the process of reviewing and refining the company's strategic direction and long-term goals.
  • Oversee corporate governance, providing leadership to the senior management team and broader organization, and reporting to the company's Board and corporate as required.
  • Drive a performance-oriented culture, monitoring and evaluating the company's performance against set targets and industry benchmarks.
  • Position the company as the local fibre provider/enabler across an entire region, providing thought leadership and promoting the fibre opportunity as a visible public 'face' of the company.
  • Explore and capitalize on new business opportunities, participating in relevant industry forums such as INCA, Connected Britain, and other fibre/telecommunications industry bodies.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in business, finance, telecommunications, engineering, or similar.
  • Extensive background in the telecommunications industry, including demonstrable experience in senior management positions.
  • Experience in both start-up and scale-up organizations, with a proven track record of building and transitioning organizations to deliver growth.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight.
  • Experience in managing large-scale telecommunications projects and teams.
  • Deep understanding of the telecommunications market, including emerging trends and technologies.
