KS1 Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Primary School in the heart of Lewisham. This is a long-term, full-time role starting in September 2024, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children.

About the Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to support the learning and development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2). You will be responsible for providing general classroom support, working with children with mild SEN, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children in the classroom, including those with SEN
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing individualized support to children as needed
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree from a reputable University, a clear passion for education, and a hunger to learn. You will also need to be fully committed to the role and have a good understanding of the Primary curriculum and general knowledge of SEN. Good academics are required, including GCSEs and A Levels.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive daily rate of £105-£110, term-time only, and a long-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, training, and support to kick-start your educational career.
