Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing enquiries and ITTs from start to end, ensuring timely submission of tender programmes and documents. Key responsibilities include reviewing and assessing tender information, attending site visits and pre-tender meetings, and compiling detailed job costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess all tender information received
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings (if appropriate)
  • Prepare tender programmes and submission documents
  • Liaise with operations teams to understand outputs and delivery methods
  • Compile detailed job costs from first principles
  • Build-up internal labour and management costs
  • Engage with specialist sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure multiple materials, equipment, and sub-contractor quotes are received
  • Liaise with all departments to compile submission
  • Manage Tender Queries and Clarifications
  • Compile final pricing in required format
  • Undertake detailed commercial review with senior management prior to submission
  • Compile and submit all bid documents
  • Organise and attend client post-tender meetings (if appropriate)
Requirements:
  • Possess a keen attention to detail
  • Be able to review and understand engineering specifications, work scopes, and drawings
  • Have a high level of maths and IT skills
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be able to interact closely with other members of the bid team and other disciplines
  • Be flexible to cope with fluctuating workload and client deadlines
  • Possess a considerable knowledge of civil engineering and the construction industry, with particular regard to the EHV-related civils arena
