Transform Data into Insights

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team at MBN Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our data platform, working closely with stakeholders to develop and support new projects, and transforming our data into valuable insights that inform and drive our business decisions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class developer, owner, and operator of power generation facilities. With over 25 years' experience in energy markets across the world, we're currently building out our Data Platform using Azure Databricks and Python to develop models and analytics that will support new vital trading insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines, data ingestion, and data factory solutions
  • Develop and maintain data platforms, workflows, and environments in a commercial/enterprise setting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and support new projects and deployments
  • Take ownership of delivering significant projects and lead the development of new data analytics solutions
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience with Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark
  • Experience building pipelines, data ingestion, and data factory solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of delivering significant projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across the business
What We Offer

We offer a generous base salary of up to £65k, alongside a generous package including 20% bonus based on business performance, pension, fitness budget, and private medical options. This position will have flexible/Hybrid working, with a requirement to attend our office in Edinburgh 2-3 days a week.
