We are seeking a seasoned Finance Transformation Manager to join a public sector entity during a pivotal transition phase. This role is designed for an interim period to support the organization as it embarks on a transformative journey.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in crafting business cases and financial modeling specifically for Local Authorities, demonstrating the ability to implement multiple enhancements simultaneously.

Collaboration with the senior management team will be essential throughout the duration of the contract.

Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate substantial cost savings by designing more efficient and effective financial services.

The Finance Transformation Manager will undertake the following responsibilities:

- Formulating Future Savings Proposals to guarantee the achievement of the established financial objectives, which includes evaluating the financial implications of service modifications.
- Analyzing financial risks, impacts, dependencies, and costs associated with potential service adjustments.

- Leading the realization of benefits from the current Efficiency Plan while providing comprehensive financial modeling.
- Collaborating with finance colleagues who are accountable for both current and future business-as-usual deliverables.

- Engaging with service and program team members to assess the financial ramifications of various service scenarios and managing the financial modeling process.

- Scrutinizing and challenging findings using data and insights from other local authorities.
- Developing and presenting financial information to support business cases, options appraisals, and other program documentation.

~ Key Qualifications for the Finance Transformation Manager role:

- A qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience in a comparable role with similar responsibilities.

- Recent experience within the Local Authority sector.
- Proven track record in transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in complex and sensitive programs, with the ability to establish credibility and influence among peers and leadership.
