Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Manager to join our team and drive the development of our materials platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for championing the product vision and ensuring that all development efforts contribute to its realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Vision Champion: Translate business goals and customer needs into clear product features and functionalities, ensuring feasibility by working closely with our development team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with our commercial, tech, and science teams to define and evolve the platform development roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely delivery within constraints.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify needs, trends, and opportunities, translating these into development actions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating realistic goals, expectations, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Performance Tracking: Track key performance indicators to measure product and company success.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: Proven ability to translate business goals and user needs into well-defined product requirements and features.
  • Product Management Expertise: Strong understanding of product management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and their application in a tech environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Passion for Innovation: You appreciate the challenges facing deep-tech startups and are excited by the opportunity of joining an early-stage business.

  • Project Management Tools: Experience using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, Confluence) to orchestrate tasks and track progress.
  • Go-to-Market Planning: Experience with go-to-market planning.
  • Commercial Materials Science: Understanding of the commercial materials science space.
  • Software Development Processes: Understanding of software development processes.
