Internal Controls Specialist

Buckden Partners is seeking an experienced Internal Controls Specialist to join our team on a 12-18 month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our Risk team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Operational Risk Manager in delivering our controls framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with process owners to design and implement effective internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Identify control gaps and assess existing controls for completeness, recommending areas for improvement.
  • Support the business in documenting existing controls, including their operation and control owners.
  • Contribute to Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and provide advice on required control enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, including financial internal controls.
Requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of risk and control frameworks, with a good working knowledge of financial internal controls.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build networks across the organization.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and logically.
