About the Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Designer / Artworker / Illustrator to contribute to our design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for producing high-quality print-ready packaging designs for our range of toys, games, and gadgets. You will collaborate closely with our team of designers and report to the head of Design.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce high-quality design concepts including illustrations while maintaining brand consistency.
  2. Manage your own workload, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  3. Liaise with clients and external contractors, including printers, to ensure designs are print-ready and meet all the relevant recycling and safety warning standards.
  4. Maintain strong file management and organisation throughout the design process.
  5. Use project management and communication tools like GoodDay, Teams, and emails to keep track of project progress.
Key Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; other apps would be a bonus.
  3. Experience working with brand guidelines and design briefs.
  4. Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  6. Excellent understanding of colour theory, typography, and layout design.
  7. Familiarity with design critiques and ability to give and receive feedback.
  8. Commercial awareness and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
