Thorn Baker Group is seeking a skilled Regional Health and Safety Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the health and safety team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the HSEQ strategy, IMS, and attending multiple sites to oversee, monitor, and evaluate health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with the client and internal H&S team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Chair internal site H&S meetings to discuss safety protocols and best practices.
- Attend client H&S meetings to provide expert advice and guidance.
- Support site teams on all H&S aspects, including reviewing safe systems of work and conducting workplace inspections.
- Manage day-to-day H&S activities on site, including conducting investigations into accidents or incidents.
- Coordinate training of project staff and contribute to the maintenance of ISO 45001.
- At least 2 years of experience in a busy site-based H&S role within construction.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, with client-facing experience.
- Technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction and building services sectors.
- IT literate with proficient report-writing skills.
