About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Production team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective production of medicines, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the provision, management, and development of safe and efficient pharmacy production services.
  • Contribute to the leadership of the team, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
  • Participate in the training and development of staff, including the provision of training and coaching.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities, including the review and approval of production records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy production services.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Several years' experience working at a senior level in pharmacy production.
  • Experience of working in a licensed/unlicensed production unit.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of quality assurance of aseptic preparation services.
  • Ability to dispense aseptic products accurately following GMP.
  • Knowledge of GMP and MHRA guidelines.
