Basketball Coach Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Basketball Coach to join our team at Everyone Active. As a Basketball Coach, you will be responsible for planning and leading basketball training sessions for children and adults, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct basketball training sessions for children and adults, focusing on fundamental skills and game strategies.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate drills and exercises to improve skill levels and understanding of the game.
  • Provide constructive feedback and individual attention to each player, fostering a fun and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organize and lead competitive games or scrimmages to apply learned skills in a game setting.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's progress and any team updates.
  • Stay current with basketball coaching techniques, rules, and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Coaching certification or relevant credentials.
  • Prior experience in basketball coaching, particularly with children and youth.
  • Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
  • Patience and enthusiasm for working with children and beginners.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
Working Hours:

Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
