Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled Power Engineers to play a crucial role in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of our power hardware for controllers. This position is vital to our ambitious growth trajectory as we expand our capabilities in the aerospace market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power electronics tailored for inverter and converter applications in aerospace.
  • Contribute to the development of inverter and converter power systems.
  • Participate in specification reviews and design evaluations.
  • Support the safety assessment of systems in accordance with ARP4754A/DO254 standards.
  • Conduct simulations and evaluate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), power, and thermal models.
  • Engage in schematic capture, PCB layout design, and manufacturing assistance.
  • Assess component longevity, operational limits, and derating strategies.
  • Facilitate power electronics design verification, including fault analysis and production testing.
  • Assist in EMC testing and the creation of technical documentation.
  • Generate comprehensive internal and external documentation, including designs and analyses.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the electronics and hardware department's technologies and processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a related industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in power electronics.
  • Familiarity with power electronic components (e.g., IGBTs, MOSFETs, capacitors).
  • Experience in electronic component selection and power supply magnetics design.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation of power devices, with knowledge of tools like LTSpice, Simetrix, or Matlab/Simulink.
  • Experience in power electronics design, including schematic and PCB layout, with a preference for Altium Designer.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive design analyses, including thermal and stress evaluations.
  • Experience ensuring EMC compliance with industry standards.
  • Knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
  • Experience in developing products that meet functional safety standards.
  • Familiarity with high voltage and high current systems, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Experience in power electronics validation and testing using various test equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
