Head of Treasury

Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Treasury to join our client, a global leader in their field. This is a newly created role that offers the opportunity to build a best-in-class Treasury function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily cash management operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure optimal liquidity levels to meet operational and strategic needs. Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures.
  • Financing and Capital Structure: Develop and execute strategies for capital needs, including debt and equity financing. Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors. Evaluate and negotiate terms of financing agreements to secure favourable terms for the company.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks. Implement and monitor hedging strategies to protect against financial market volatility. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
  • Leadership: Build the treasury team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Treasury, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Ideally fully qualified (ACMT) and very likely a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will have experience of developing cash forecasts and improving treasury setups with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and think creatively. This role will also require the need to manage complex projects to tight timescales.
