About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with patients with functional and organic illnesses, using excellent assessment skills, risk management skills, and communication skills to build therapeutic relationships.
- Carry a caseload of patients with varying needs, using your knowledge and application of theoretical models of practice.
- Work closely with our Voluntary partners and Primary Care, using your skills in applying evidence-based practice.
- Participate in regular clinical and professional supervision, and support from the wider OT workforce.
Requirements
- HCPC-Registered Occupational Therapist
- Degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Experience of working with dementia and/or cognitive impairment, and experience of working with people who have severe and enduring needs.
- Knowledge and application of theoretical models of practice, and understanding of Mental Health conditions and treatment models.
