Centrifuge Operator

Job Title: Centrifuge Operator - Materials Handling Specialist

Job Summary:

Hargreaves Industrial Services is seeking a skilled Centrifuge Operator to join our team within our Yorkshire Water contract based in West Yorkshire. As a Centrifuge Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of sludge handling and movements within the Yorkshire Water wastewater treatment sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate centrifuges, conveyors, and poly make-up plant to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Monitor equipment to identify and address any abnormal conditions, such as blockages or system failures.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards of work areas and equipment.
• Perform daily checks on equipment and report any defects or required consumables.
• Monitor product throughput and perform additional tasks as trained and competent.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of site safety standards.
• Previous experience operating centrifuges and associated equipment.
• Hargreaves safety induction training (provided on start of employment).
• Compliance with site golden rules, safety instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.
• Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
