About the Company: Our client is a leading international solar farm and battery storage developer.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, reviewing, negotiating, and purchasing land to build solar farms and battery storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and acquiring land to build solar PV farms or battery storage facilities on
  • Building and maintaining relationships with land owners and land agencies so you are first to be made aware of new opportunities
  • Overseeing and managing initial sites feasibility and viability studies
  • Working closely with internal and external planning and legal teams pre and post-acquisition
  • Monitoring other renewable developments and grid connection agreements for market intelligence
  • Contract negotiation for freehold purchase or option agreement leases on sites
  • Maintaining a database of potential sites and keeping in contact with relevant agents/landowners

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified and ideal property-related
  • Natural born deal maker doing 3-4 land deals a year consistently
  • Experienced Land buyer, land manager, or acquisitions executive who has a proven background in sourcing sites for solar farms
  • Currently working for either a solar farm developer, strategic land or resi
  • Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process
  • A strong network of contacts in the land agency world
  • Determined, hungry, and ambitious
