About You:

We seek an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for community safety. The role involves administrative tasks and community engagement, requiring an organized candidate capable of thriving in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to network effectively with various stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to Station Managers within your designated hub area, advising on all aspects of community safety initiatives.
  • Participate in unitary, partner, or stakeholder meetings to support service objectives.
  • Ensure that organizational and localized risk-based activities are integrated and monitored in station delivery plans.
  • Support the Safe and Well and Adult Referral Programme, enhancing awareness and training related to vulnerable adults through collaboration with key agencies.
  • Play a crucial role in the effective allocation of referrals and coordinating home safety visits in your area.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and safeguarding best practices as per service policies.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to maximize opportunities for reducing accidental and deliberate fires, road traffic incidents, and water-related emergencies through targeted prevention initiatives.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with community organizations, including minority and faith groups, to inform them about fire service agendas and key prevention strategies.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to build effective relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and managing issues to resolution.
  • Capable of working under pressure and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic with a positive outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Decision-making capabilities within your area of responsibility.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage conflicting demands and ensure timely delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Proficient analytical, organizational, and research skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • Possession of a current EU driving license.
