About the Role

VINCI Construction France is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and negotiate contract variations, including early warning notices and compensation events, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Develop and implement cost estimation and planning strategies to optimize project budgets and minimize financial risks.
  • Monitor and report on monthly spending against project budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Evaluate potential claims from contractors and suppliers, ensuring prompt and fair resolution.
  • Prepare and issue orders and instructions to contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain established additional works processes to identify and capture items over and above contract limits of liability.
  • Provide commercial insights and support to the operations team, driving profitable growth and contributing to the delivery of the organization's long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to enhance and onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Travel may be required to support various business units and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in cost management of building projects from feasibility studies through to detailed cost planning and post-contract cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of principal standard forms of building contracts, including JCT and NEC.
  • Commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience.
