Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the UK corporation tax operations, collaborating with external advisors.
- Lead the straightforward UK tax accounting and reporting obligations.
- Ensure adherence to Transfer Pricing regulations.
- Manage the relationship with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), addressing inquiries, coordinating responses, and maintaining regular updates on the status of inquiries.
- Conduct tax planning evaluations and reporting, spearheading the annual assessment of qualifying expenditures for R&D tax incentives.
- Review and enhance processes related to VAT submissions.
- Support initiatives to mitigate tax evasion risks throughout the organization.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly corporation tax submissions, including documentation and review protocols.
- Provide expert tax guidance and project management support for local and international initiatives, including changes in corporate structure, property transactions, and mergers & acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a recognized accounting or tax qualification (ACCA/ACA/ICAS/CTA).
- Experience in an in-house role within a B2B or manufacturing context, or significant experience in a reputable UK Tax practice.
- A keen interest in systems and indirect taxation.
- A confident professional with sound judgment and practical skills, comfortable engaging with senior business leaders in a commercial setting.
