Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team in Gillingham, Kent. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Finance team, including tasks such as raising invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise invoices and process payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals
  • Process credit notes and refunds as necessary
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team, including tasks such as data entry and filing
  • Assist with the implementation of new financial systems and processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including colleagues and management
  • Contribute to the development of the Finance team, including sharing knowledge and best practices
Requirements
  • Good understanding of financial principles and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Qualifications in accounting or a related field (desirable)
