Job Title: Criminology Graduate - Mental Health Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Criminology Graduate to join our team as a Mental Health Support Assistant at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children who have been exposed to trauma and adverse childhood experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-to-one with students, as well as in wider groups, to help prepare learning materials and increase their independent living skills.
  • Conduct regular welfare checks to ensure the students' needs are met.
  • Build strong, robust relationships with students to increase engagement, attainment, and life chances.
  • Identify risks and needs of each child to ensure they meet milestones set for them.

Requirements:

  • Recent Criminology Graduate with a passion for working with vulnerable children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £80 to £90 per day.
  • The opportunity to gain essential experience needed to train as an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Behaviour Therapist, or Speech and Language Therapist.
