Overview:
Imperial Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the Engineering Scholarship Programme.

Role Responsibilities:
The Lead Engineer for Scholarship Initiatives will be tasked with the management and expansion of the scholarship programme. This includes:
  • Collaborating with business engagement teams to foster and sustain partnerships with industry stakeholders to secure scholarship opportunities.
  • Promoting scholarship options to both current and prospective students.
  • Overseeing the scholarship application and selection process, which involves reviewing submissions, organizing selection committees, and communicating outcomes.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with sponsors to ensure ongoing scholarship opportunities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of scholarships in enhancing student success and program outcomes.
  • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory and institutional policies related to scholarships.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with local employers to support the scholarship programme and improve student employability.

Teaching Responsibilities:
When necessary, the role will also involve:
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing technical engineering subjects up to Level 3, in line with personal expertise and departmental needs.
  • Providing comprehensive guidance to students seeking scholarships, apprenticeships, and career opportunities in engineering and construction.
  • Assisting students in navigating the scholarship application process, including preparation of application materials and understanding eligibility criteria.
  • Conducting workshops and information sessions to inform students about available scholarships, application timelines, and strategies for successful applications.
  • Promoting professional development opportunities to enhance student employability and readiness for careers.
  • Offering personalized advising sessions to assist students in developing career plans, preparing for interviews, and connecting with industry mentors.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of Level 3 education in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial engineering setting, such as design, project management, or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in employer engagement, partnership development, or a similar role within education or the engineering sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Experience in coordinating scholarship programmes or similar initiatives is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the engineering or construction industry and its workforce requirements.
