Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking Rigger/Lasher Port Operatives for a prominent role at a major port facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate on vessels to facilitate the efficient loading and unloading of cargo containers.

- Work effectively within a team to secure containers during transit by chaining and unchaining as necessary.

- Serve as a Banksman, directing tug operators and ensuring the safety of the crew.

- Conduct inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any damages promptly.

- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

Required Skills:

- Previous experience in port operations is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.

- Must be able to pass port-specific assessments, including drug and alcohol screenings.

- A valid UK Driving Licence and personal transportation are essential.

- Capability to operate in a high-risk industrial environment and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and precision while working on board vessels.

Compensation: £11.94-£19.82 per hour, with the potential for an additional £1.50 per hour Attendance Bonus.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Day and Night shifts available
  • Flexibility for overtime and weekend work

Licensing/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (mandatory)

Work Location: On-site.
