We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Analyst to join our team at Hiscox. As a key member of our UK Claims team, you will play a critical role in supporting our data-led decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary data expert, working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver high-quality insights.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of regular reporting, using PowerBI as the primary visualization tool.
  • Ensure consistent preparation of reporting, adhering to data standards and best practices.
  • Participate in projects that require data to support or evidence the benefits of operational change.
  • Manage regulatory reporting needs and respond within regulated timeframes.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and data usage, and develop solutions to deliver business value.
  • Act as an ambassador for claims data across the business, helping stakeholders turn business problems into solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and define data business requirements to inform technical specifications.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards in an insurance context.
  • Experience working with Data Warehouse technologies, ideally Databricks.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and agile methodology.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience driving data strategy and change.
  • Ability to work in partnership with technical areas, such as Data Scientists, to drive the use of modeling, automation, and analytics.
  • Experience influencing and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across geographies.
