We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Prospect Place, a 45-bed secure unit for men with diagnosed psychiatric disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct care to patients with a variety of mental health problems, acting as the named nurse with responsibility for the overall care of an identified group of patients.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a high level of safe and effective care to patients, adhering to all Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the standard of care patients receive.
- Act as named nurse/key worker for an identified group of clients, devising care plans and undertaking client activities as appropriate.
- Liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and participate in risk assessments and the Care Programme Approach.
- Participate in staff inductions, acting as a preceptor to develop the skills and knowledge of newly qualified nursing staff, and provide mentorship to others as part of your role.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification.
- Experience of working within a mental health setting, preferably in an acute mental health ward.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of Practice, as well as Care Planning and Management.
