Job Title: Inventory Accountant - Financial Reconciliations (hybrid)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to join our team at Andretti Cadillac. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling inventory for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory accounting principles, experience with inventory tracking systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Inventory Process: Develop and implement an inventory process that ensures accurate tracking and recording of inventory transactions across the UK organization.
  • Manage Inventory Accounting: Oversee the inventory accounting process, including tracking and recording inventory transactions, and ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  • Perform Regular Inventory Reconciliations: Conduct regular inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy of inventory records and identify any discrepancies.
  • Analyze Inventory Variations: Analyze inventory variations and investigate any discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Prepare Inventory Reports: Prepare inventory reports and provide analysis to management to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Operations Team: Work closely with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory levels and effective inventory management.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with inventory control processes and procedures to maintain accurate and reliable inventory records.
  • Support Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with providing documentation and support for external auditors during month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinate Physical Inventory Counts: Coordinate physical inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  • Identify Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy of inventory management.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified: Must be qualified as an accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA).
  • Experience with Standard Costing: Must have experience with standard costing and inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong Understanding of Inventory Accounting Principles: Must have a strong understanding of inventory accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Software: Must have experience with inventory management software and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
  • Detail-Oriented: Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively: Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in Formula One: Experience in Formula One is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of US GAAP: Understanding of US GAAP is a plus.
