Store Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager and other team members to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Assist with visual merchandising, including maintaining a visually appealing store environment and ensuring products are displayed effectively.
- Organize and maintain stock, including pricing and steaming stock before it goes on the shop floor.
- Ensure stock is generated over the door by members of the public and encourage donors to sign up for gift aid.
- Implement promotions and displays as directed by Head Office or the Store Manager.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness throughout the store.
- Encourage customers to donate saleable stock and rotate stock on a daily basis to ensure no garment remains on the shop floor for too long.
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Basic IT skills and ability to use a point-of-sale system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
