Job Title: SEN Tutor

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom or educational setting.

Job Type:

This is a part-time, temporary position with flexible hours, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans for each student, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students, promoting a seamless and effective learning experience.
  • Keep accurate records of student performance and progress, providing valuable insights for teachers and parents.
Requirements:
  • Valid DBS check
  • Teaching qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience working with students with SEN
Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field is required for this role.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN tutor or in a similar role is essential for this position.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SEN practices and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a classroom or educational setting
  • May involve working with students with varying needs and abilities
  • Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and educational professionals
