SMT GB is seeking an Application Specialist with a background in Microsoft Dynamics F&O to join our team.

This is a permanent position based in Duxford.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our applications and provide high-quality support to our internal users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics ERP stack within SMT GB.
  • Conduct research into improvements for the applications and translate this into improvement proposals.
  • Make recommendations for improvements and take a proactive role in the implementation of your proposals.
  • Translate and implement the functional needs into technical solutions and solve technical issues related to the application.
  • Support internal users with 2nd and 3rd line issues.
  • Work with international colleagues and suppliers to promote the use or integration of applications with the aim of guaranteeing a seamless user experience.
  • Act as a product owner of the ERP solution, documenting the application processes, manuals, and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant IT education with proven experience as a functional application manager.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics D365F&O solution and potential older AX versions.
  • Naturally curious about developments in your field and keep up to date with the latest developments.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • An enterprising team player who puts cooperation and results first.
  • Able to work from own initiative when it comes to opportunities for process optimization.
