Vocational Skills Assessor

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Skills Assessor to join our team at the Commercial Industries and Access School. As a Vocational Skills Assessor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the effective and efficient assessment of learners in hairdressing and barbering programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess learners on various programs, including Level 1, 2, and 3 in hairdressing and/or barbering, and Customer Service.
- Provide prompt and constructive feedback to learners after assessments.
- Develop and maintain a strong client base in the Commercial salons, ensuring income targets are met.
- Undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas, maintaining a professional image and a safe and secure environment.
- Support teaching teams and learners in reception, salon, and practical areas, assisting learners to work professionally and develop commercial and employability skills.
- Manage client bookings, increase client numbers, and achieve weekly income targets.
- Promote retail sales, campaigns, and displays.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in hairdressing and/or barbering.
- Demonstrate recent industrial experience in hairdressing.
- Show excellent demonstration skills in hairdressing.
- Hold an assessing qualification or be willing to work towards it.
- Have awareness of academic quality standards.
