Job Overview

Everec is seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a key member of our Electric Vehicle (EV) development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and develop safety plans for projects and vehicles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the execution of Functional Safety (FS) activities throughout the development phases of the safety lifecycle and Engineering Product Development process.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineers in producing functional safety work products, including Item Definition, Hazard Identification, Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, and Functional Safety Concepts.
  • Manage the requirements management system to ensure data integrity and traceability throughout the functional safety lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with suppliers from the early concept stage through to development audits, design reviews, and into launch and production phases.
  • Present well-reasoned safety analyses and arguments to positively impact design decisions and educate stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports for both internal and external customers.
  • Requirements:
    • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
    • Proven experience in electrical/electronic development projects, with a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and controls.
    • Awareness of hardware/software quality and management processes.
    • Demonstrable planning and delivery of concurrent tasks and projects.
    • Proven problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to escalate major risk issues to senior management.
    • Understanding of safety analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
