Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Director of Building Surveying to lead our team in London & South East. As a key member of our building surveying team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients, managing and mentoring a team of building surveyors, and developing and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of building surveyors to deliver building surveying services to clients
  • Develop and expand our client base across key sectors
  • Manage and support the team engaged on existing commissions
  • Develop and improve the performance of the team
  • Manage the recruitment, supervision, and development of staff within the team
  • Proactively market Currie & Brown locally and nationally
  • Participate in bid-winning activities, including drafting proposals and attending industry events
  • Implement and monitor relevant administration systems and standards for customer care

Requirements:

  • BSc in Building Surveying
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • A minimum of 15 years' technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy
  • IT skills, including AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other bespoke systems
  • Significant experience and evidence of performing in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local and national marketplace
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, and willing to work in a mutually supportive environment
