Salary: £14.50 per hour

Are you seeking a Class 2 Hiab driving position? We have an exciting opportunity for a Class 2 Hiab Operator to join our team on a temp to perm basis.

Role Overview

As a Class 2 Hiab Operator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating vehicles equipped with flatbed trailers.
  • Safely loading and unloading materials at the base and customer locations using Hiab equipment.
  • Delivering piping and heating supplies to both commercial and residential clients.
  • Conducting load security and weight distribution checks in line with the latest safety regulations at the start and end of each shift.
  • Maintaining delivery vehicles to company standards and reporting any defects promptly.
  • Ensuring vehicles are in safe operating condition, with daily inspections completed before use.

Key Information:

  • Working Hours: Starting at 07:00am (flexible start/finish times may apply), with potential for overtime.
  • Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Workload: Delivery of piping and heating materials with a manageable number of drops, followed by warehouse duties such as picking and packaging upon return.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 2 UK license: Must have held for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Hiab Certification: Must be current and valid.
  • Driving Experience: Must have operated a Class 2 vehicle within the last six months, ideally within the last 12 months.
  • License Points: No more than 6 points for minor offences.
  • Digital Tachograph Card: Must be current.
  • CPC Qualification Card: Must be up-to-date.
