Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement control system algorithms, including hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Conduct technical analysis of control strategy performance
  • Publish high-quality journal papers and attend conferences
  • Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages
  • Define and implement project plans, manage milestones, and hold reviews to ensure reliable test systems are delivered to production
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline
  • ~2+ years of software programming experience using Python, C++, or other object-oriented language
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience with programming and developing custom control systems
  • ~Experience with advanced control strategies or machine learning approaches
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and analog interfaces, including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion
  • Experience in developing custom coded control systems (Python or C++ preferable)
  • Knowledge of Cloud processes, such as CI/CD, pipelines, and SaaS-based models with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience developing application, test, or automation software in an interdisciplinary environment
