Data Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Risk Specialist to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our Corporate Services team, you will play a critical role in managing and reducing threats to our data and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure the business operates within internal policies, standards, and risk appetite.
- Work with the risk team and stakeholders to identify and assess risks that could significantly affect the business.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify mitigating actions and remediation plans.
- Track and report progress of mitigating actions and support risk owners with remediation plans.
- Produce accurate risk reports and metrics for senior management and governance forums.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements, legislation, and industry best practices.
- Assist in creating and delivering the risk roadmap.
- Continuously refine and improve risk methodologies and processes.
- Proven experience in risk management and working within a risk management framework.
- Demonstrable ability to drive risk remediation plans and work with risk owners to meet key risk mitigation deadlines.
- Good knowledge and passion for information security with an eye for detail.
- Familiarity with information security controls, frameworks, and tooling.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively with a range of people.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize own workload and deliver quality results on time to budget.
