Maths Academic Mentor Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Maths Academic Mentor to join our team at a high-performing Secondary School in Sutton.

This role is ideal for Maths graduates with a first-class or 2:1 degree in Maths or a closely related subject, who have achieved excellent GCSE and A-Level grades.

The Maths Academic Mentor will provide academic support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential in Maths. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group academic support to students in Maths
  • Help students to identify and address areas of weakness in Maths
  • Develop and implement effective learning strategies to support student progress
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure that students receive consistent and high-quality support
  • Monitor and track student progress, and report back to teachers and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • First-class or 2:1 degree in Maths or a closely related subject
  • Excellent GCSE and A-Level grades in Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
