We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, working closely with our clients, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design process from tender to handover, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with our estimating and commercial teams to develop detailed designs and tender packages.
- Work closely with our project managers and site delivery teams to ensure that designs are implemented effectively on site.
- Manage and implement design changes, RFI's, and CDM regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure that their needs are met and that projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a Design Manager on large-scale construction projects, preferably with a Tier 1 or larger regional contractor.
- Excellent knowledge of design management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
