About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at GD Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a variety of projects, including food and retail, medical, and large commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake detailed structural engineering design, including the preparation of technical presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with Revit technicians to produce CAD/BIM models and documentation.
  • Contribute to net-zero carbon construction and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Undertake site inspections and represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure excellent service delivery, design decisions are met, and project work is carried out within agreed deadlines and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer or alternative FEM analysis and design software.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of structural design using various building materials, including traditional build, steel frame, reinforced concrete, and timber frames.
  • Ability to accept a degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with the ability to work independently.
  • Opportunity to take on some responsibilities in managing financial aspects of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BEng/BSc) or Master's degree (MEng/MSc) in a relevant field. Chartered or near Chartered status is desirable.
