Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom EKFB Full time

Position Overview

EKFB is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Specialist with a solid foundation in site engineering.

The main objective of this position is to collaborate within our project delivery area, ensuring that quality standards are integrated and upheld by the Construction Delivery teams. This will involve the collection and maintenance of all pertinent quality and assurance documentation. Additionally, the role encompasses conducting internal evaluations and facilitating training sessions to enhance quality awareness throughout the project.

Reporting directly to the Senior Quality & Completions Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team, implementing the quality and completions strategy throughout the construction phase until project handover. You will collaborate with other Assurance Engineers across the entire project.

Your responsibilities will include understanding and applying quality, technical assurance, and completions requirements, while working closely with construction delivery teams to align these with project timelines and effective delivery methods. You will also support the execution of all section-related quality, assurance, and completions activities to ensure timely project asset handover.

Building and maintaining relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders will be essential to deliver all construction-related quality and assurance aspects. You will utilize relevant IT systems to manage all quality and completions documentation and records.

Working in partnership with delivery teams, you will plan for product realization through inspection and test plans, work package plans, and more. You will also conduct awareness sessions as part of a broader initiative aimed at non-quality professionals, communicating the advantages and knowledge of the Business Management System.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for performing internal audits and other quality surveillance activities as needed, actively supporting the Senior Quality & Completions Engineer.

Candidate Profile
  • Proficient Quality and/or Handover (Completions) Engineer with demonstrated experience in effectively implementing quality control and assurance protocols (preferably within the construction or regulated sectors).
  • Strong understanding and practical application of quality control, quality assurance, or handover best practices and interventions.
  • Experience in utilizing digital systems for quality and completions record management for projects.
  • Adaptable approach to managing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines in a challenging environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
